Apple is one of the healthiest foods around. Among their many healing abilities, apples control cholesterol and blood sugar levels, are an aid to digestion and whole apple serve as a natural toothbrush. Studies show that people who eat more apples tend to have fewer colds and upper respiratory infections and are generally less sick. It is also good for your babies’ skin and might even promote hair growth. Wean your baby with freshly squeezed apple juice, then pureed apple and at about ten months she’ll enjoy chewing on pieces of peeled apple. At around 18 months, baby will have enough teeth to enjoy the whole apple, thus peel and all!
Pear is a good source of vitamin C and folic acid. Apart from boosting babies’ immune system, it will also prevent anaemia. Pear is also a good source of fibre and therefore good for colon health and to combat constipation. Pear is a hypoallergenic fruit that is less likely than other fruits to produce.
Peaches are a rich source of multivitamins and minerals. They have vitamins including A, C, E, and K with seven particular minerals (calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc, Manganese and Phosphorus). A study has shown that, peaches are a good source of antioxidant and fiber. Antioxidant, Chlorogenic acid, works as anti-inflammatory in the body. On the other side, fiber is good for digestion. It also prevents constipation.
Guavas are one of the richest sources of vitamin C, containing four times the vitamin C content present in oranges. The role of guavas in immunity is also attributed to its anti-inflammatory. The brain is one of the major organs of our body, and keeping it healthy should be on our priority list, Guavas contain vitamin B3 and vitamin B6, also known as niacin and pyridoxine, which helps in improving blood circulation to the brain and relaxing your nerves.
